Holi is festival of colors. 
The festival is celebrate for two days. 
Holi is celebrate in the spring season and Hindu believe that spring is full of colors. 
So they throw colors water on each other, it's a major festival of Hindu.

What is story behind the Holi? 

Holi is based on a legend about king hiranyakashyap had a son prahlad. 
Prahlad was the greatest devotee of Lord vishnu. 
Hiranyakashyap wanted to kill his son, so he called his sister Holika. 
She had a magic robe, this robe had the power to save the wearer from burning in fire. 
Hiranyakashyap ordered his sister to sit on a burning fire along with prahlad. 
He thought that his sister would not be harmed by the fire because of the magic robe and prahlad would be burnt to death, but result was the opposite to what the evil demon king planned. 
Thus prahlad came out of the burning fire safety and Holika was burnt to death, it's celebrated with colors to mark the victory of virtue and goodness over evil. 


The festival is celebrated for five days the 5 th day, Rang panchmi marks the closing day of the Holi festival. 

People are seen with different varieties of colors on Holi. 

They put colors on each other sing, dance, they worship Lord krishan and put colors on his idol. 

Families gather together and party the whole day, they distribute sweets and enjoy to the fullest. 

How to practice safe Holi? 


Continuing the tradition of smearing colors on the faces of friends the throwing coloured water in playful manner on guests is a hallmark of the Indian festival Holi. 

Historically, Holi the festival of bright and cheerful colors, used to be played with natural dyes mode from red Sadalwood powder etc. ..

With changing times, chemical dyes and synthetic coloured entered into the market, these may contain dangerous toxins that have harmful effects on the human body. 

Therefore, one has to careful while using the colors for playing Holi;most of the modern colors are in fact chemical dyes and can cause I skin allergies, some of the skin problem that could occur are itching, rashes, dryness and irritations eyes are extremely vulnerable, and need to be protected since sometimes.
