San Alfonso del Mar is a private resort in Algarrob, chille, about 100 km(62mi) west the Santiago.

The pool is 1,013 meter (3, 323fl) long, covering 8 ha(20 acers) ,containing some 250 million liters(66 million us gallons) of seawater, with a maximum depth of 35m (11.5 ft). 

The water is pumped from the adjacent Pacific Ocean, then filtered and treated, access to pool is limited to resort residents only.
