Black widow is an upcoming American superhero film based on the marvel comics character of the same name. 

Produced by marvel Studios and distributed by  Walt Disney studio motion picture. 

It is intended to be 24th film in marvel Cinematic universe (MCU)  

The film was directed by cate shortland and written by Eric Pearson from a story by jac Schaeffer and ned benson. 

As a start Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/ Black widow alongside Florence pugh, David harbour, O-T fagbenie, william hurt, Ray Winston, and Rachel weize. 

This movie set after captain America:- civil war (2016) ,the film sees Romanoff on the run and forced to confront her past.

Development of black widow film began in April 2004 by Lionsgate, with David hayter. 

The project did not move forward the film right to the characters reterved to marvel Studios by June 2006.

Scarlett Johansson was cast in the role for several MCU film beginning with also the iron man 2 (2010)  

Marvel and Scarlett Johansson expressed interest in a solo film several times over following years, before Schaeffer and shortland were hired in 2018, Benson and Pearson were added later. 

Filming took place from mayvto October in Norway, Budapest, Morocco, Pinewood studios in the United Kingdom and in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia. 

What is black widow story ? 

 

Orphaned as a child, she was rescued during an attack on Stalingrad by a man named ivan Petrovitch bezukhov, who looked after and trained the girl, as she grew older, Natasha talented girl talent caught the attention of Soviet intelligence, soon to be know as  the KGB, and was recruited into their ranks.

Ivan Romanoff was father of Natasha Romanoff. 

Why did they kill Natasha Romanoff ? 

The original death scene of Scarlett Johansson black widow in Avengers:- End game was different in case you don't know, Scarlett Johansson Natasha Romanoff sacrifice herself by jumping off a cliff on vormir to allow the Avengers to acquire the soul stone. 

Does Black widow return after Endgame ?

As mentioned, black widow sacrifice herself during Avengers;- Endgame for the soul stone. Meaning it is unlikely she can return in the usual timeline.
